PROJECT OVERVIEW
TMD Brickwork was proud to contribute to the extension of the Staffordshire Archive Building, part of the impressive Staffordshire History Centre.
This project required the construction of an extremely tall structure using solid Flemish bond black brickwork, ensuring a seamless integration with the historical surroundings.
PROJECT CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS
MANAGING STAGGERED CONSTRUCTION PHASES
Due to the nature of the build, our team had to pause work and return at various stages as different elements of the project progressed.
COORDINATION WITH OTHER TEAMS
Maintaining efficiency while working around other trades and scaffold schedules required careful coordination.
SOLUTION: MINDFUL PLANNING & COLLABORATION
Careful workforce planning ensured that bricklayers returned at the right times, minimising disruption and keeping the project on track. Close collaboration with other contractors ensured smooth progress despite the staged construction schedule.
EXPERIENCE & RESULTS
TMD Brickwork’s expertise in precision bricklaying delivered outstanding results, meeting the high standards required for this significantly important project. The client was extremely happy with both the process and the final finish, which maintained the integrity of the Staffordshire History Centre’s architectural vision.
